Duae Linguae
Who are we?
We are building a bilingual web application for learning to read Latin directly, through an explicit progression and texts adapted to what learners know at each chapter.
The team
Thibault Wagret, Jules Deret and Luc Pommeret make up the Duae Linguae project team.
Thibault Wagret holds the French agrégation in classics, studied at the ENS de Lyon and is a doctoral researcher in ancient-language pedagogy.
Controlled progression
Each lesson introduces a small number of words and then puts them back into context. Original readings and exercises only use vocabulary and forms already introduced at that point in the path.
Verified publication
Latin sentences are reviewed before publication. Automated checks also verify the course structure, vocabulary scope, expected forms and consistency between the two interface languages.
